The Story of the ChickenLlama (aka Lama)
The ChickenLlama started during our CloudLock days as a sketch: Ron tried to draw a dinosaur on a customer call to make a point, but what came out looked more like... a chicken crossed with a llama.
What began as a joke became a symbol, showing up on t-shirts, magnets, and eventually our website. Beyond the humor, it carried a deeper meaning: companies can cling to the past and risk extinction, or adapt, evolve, and capture what comes next.
When we founded Lama Partners, we set out to be the investors we always wanted and embraced the ChickenLlama as a reflection of how we build: bold, a little unconventional, and always evolving.
Based across Tel Aviv and Boston, we work with best-in-class founders building for the US market, helping them avoid the mistakes we made as operators.
